Very true... IF Darren sold the rights for it I hope he would influnce it and they would TRY to stick to the books.. I would love to be in it as well, But I don't really fit any of the characters.. I suppose COULD pull of Lenora if I REALLY tryed... I have some acting experience too..

I dont think it would make a good film to be honest. certain books arent meant to be made into films and i think POTD is one of them. also, i dont like the sound of the cirque du freak movie-darrens said its more inspired by the books then an adaption.debbie has been cut already and i really have an overall bad feeling about the project, john c reilly excepted.

its sounds tricky, the CDF film. how to condense 3 books set in very different locations into one? perhaps vampires assistant will be cut to a few scenes,or they will set it so that the events of books 2 and 3 happen in the same place,so that its like a 2 part film (with part 1 being the events of book 1) but it all sounds a bit linear at the moment. i really hope RV and Murlough get their time in the limelight (that is,if RV is actually going to be in it and is ot getting cut like dbbie).

Yeah, i'm VERY nervous on how it's going to turn out... I was really excited when they announced way back in like 2005 that the rights were bought... Now I really don't know waht to expect with all the changes and what not... However *Fingers crossed* that it turns out.. Or I shall be yelling at the screen thowing fit fulls of popcorn at the screen... Cursing a director, producer ect... It'll probably take the full staff to forcably remove me.. Then i'll stalk the producer/diector...

Prety much.... I really don't like a vast majority of what I have hard and found ouyt about the film so far... Frightfully upseting actaully... I really think Tim Burton should have done it.. HE would have been able to fully appricate the grenera of the film and really brought the book to life...

I'm sorry but in the first ten pages theres that story about that messenger and it says when he finally looks at the cardinal he is being blown by a naked hooker, five lines later hes thrown out a window, now that kicks ass but I'm not 18 or anywhere near, wait a few years then boom, KICK ASS
so basically, yeah in three years or four

Lol, I have no fear when it comes to ratings.. I'm 20, so it dosn't really matter to me.. All that I use the ratings for is a judge of how good the film is gonna be...

Ah, I'd love a film of the PoTD. Though there's a high chance most of it would read like porn... (On the stairs, much?) Not that that would be a particularly bad thing. :Laughs:
Actually, I think that PoTD would make a rather good film, if done properly, by someone who's a fan of it. But it would *have* to be an 18, and that's a good thing. It makes sure that Darren's younger fans don't go:
"OMG There's a film by Darren Shan let's go watch it...." "Mummy... what's he doing to that lady...!?" :.Cue law suit.:
