When The Cardinal kills off Ayuamarcans, why does Capac still remember them when nobody else can?

Exactly. He went experimenting and created somethign much more than he potentailly should have... Not saying that he made a bad choice with the creation of Capac, But creating somethig all powerfull, immortal and free thinking could have it's drawbacks..

I would agree, except Y Tse remembered missing people as well.
So, my guess is that all Ayuamarcans can remember missing people.

It also may have to do with the fog that makes people forget. Maybe Y Tse was out-of-town for a few deaths and was not exposed to the fog and that is why he remebers..

But wasn't Y Tse gonna be the Cardinals main man but then he made Capac. He probably made Y Tse more like Capac than any other Ayuamarcan.

Capac and Y Tse were able to remember the Ayuamarcans because The Cardinal had them created to succeed him.
Wami didn't remember because he wasn't created for this purpose.
